I'm probably not the best person to be giving out SEO advice to anyone. This is because up until a few days ago I didn't even know that the letters SEO stood for Search Engine Optimisation. But at least I won't be overwhelming people with my extensive SEO knowlegde because of the fact that I am a complete beginner too.

I'm still finding it a little bit confusing myself but I'm hoping that I'll be able to pass on what I've learned so far to others in a similar situation to me.

So What Is SEO All About Anyway?

I have been writing blogs for a few months and on more than one occasion people have suggested that I would get more people reading my entries if I used SEO. At first I thought that SEO was the name of a popular website where you publish details of your blog, but this was way off the mark. But SEO actually means trying to use different tools in order to make your blog appear higher up in the search engine results pages so that visitors will find your site easier.

There are quite a lot of ways of using SEO such as making sure that you use your keywords properly and that the titles and subtitles that you use are ones which the search engines will like. There is so much to learn about SEO including how to get the most from the hyperlinks which send traffic to your site. The amount of work that can be done for SEO is a bit overwhelming for a novice like me so I decided that the best approach is to start with one thing at a time. Obviously your website will perform better, the more SEO tools you use but you know the saying - 'you have to walk before you can run'.

All website owners understand the advantages of getting SEO. There are many things a good SEO company can do for your site, including Backlinks. Don't play Russian roulette with your site, so get a good SEO company in to help. But SEO is only part of the equation, Web Hosting are vital as well.
